Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7 Translation software compatibility
Windows Vista and Windows 7, the latest operating system incarnation from Microsoft, have produced new headaches for translation software requirements. Much existing budget software is incompatible, only working on Windows 95,98,ME,2000,NT and XP. LEC and Systran both raced new 2007 Vista compatible product versions to market and have confirmed that these versions are also Windows 7 compatible. LEC Translate and Power Translator were ready in February of 2007 and Systran's new version 6 software released in April 2007. LEC's new product range was also the first to feature Mozilla Firefox add-ins compatibility. 2008 versions of the software have proven to be fully Windows 7 compatible. Neurotran's range works fine with Vista and Windows 7.
