select: eScan Anti-Virus is a comprehensive Anti-Virus suite based on unique MWL Technology with Anti-Virus scanning, Content Security and a NetBIOS Firewall featuring within the software. The MWL Technology checks for all Internet content at the winsock layer, much before the data reaches the application or the hard disk. Easy to use for home and business customers alike with flexible and scalable features, taking care of all kinds of Internet threats such as Viruses, Trojan Horses, Worms and Spam. This product has received the Virus Bulletin 100% award and the CheckMark certificate for clearing Anti-Virus level 1 test.

Protect and defend your PC with: Anti-Virus
eScan is a powerful Anti-Virus suite with more than 72,000 virus signatures. It has an automatic incremental update without user intervention. The 'Urgent virus update' pushes new updates to automatically defend against new virus attacks. It has'ON Demand' and 'ON Access' scanning.

Anti-Spam & Email Content Security
Anti-Spam can be activated taking care of all unnecessary emails. Additional email content can be defined and customised. The user can control, block and restrict email attachments. HTML tags within the email can be restricted and outgoing attachments can automatically be compressed.

Parental Control
select: eScan Anti-Virus controls and blocks restricted Web sites from children by checking the Web site rating with two well-known organisations, the ICRA (Internet Content Rating Association) and SafeSurf (SS~~ Rating Standard). Both organisations rate millions of Web sites depending on the content. So, categories such as pornography are taken care of not just because of the 'blocked' word but also because of the Web site ratings as well. You may also define 'blocked' and 'allowed' categories of your own. Pornography and gambling are already defined using keywords. Parents can also Block Audio and Video files as well as block images, so that a child does not download any obscene material.

NetBIOIS Firewall
The firewall protects your PC from hackers or remote users. Stop them from gaining access to your computer and trying to modify or create exe/com files or attach a virus/worm in your system like Nimda, a virus used to create multiple files.

Password Protection
select: eScan Anti-Virus can be password protected, preventing others users and children from changing the security policy or accidentally or intentionally uninstalling the software. The eScan icon in the taskbar can be made invisible to other users.

Notifications
This feature sends email messages to sender and receiver about virus and content warning. This software also logs all violations.
